To implement my ID Plan, I plan to introduce students to NearPod so that they become familiar with the program, since they will be using NearPod each week to complete assignments. It's important that students know how to use this program or they will face difficulties completing assignments each week. Presentations on NearPod will also allow students to have extra review on the chapters they are assigned to read for Homework that night. NearPod will also allow the instructor to analyze the students participation and whether they understand the readings based on the answers the questions and the percentage of questions each student gets right.
I will also allow students to sign out computer in case they don't have access to computers outside of class. Students will be allowed to work on homework the last thirty minutes of class so that they can ask questions to me in person and have access to the computer before leaving school. It's important for students to know that they have different options to contact the teacher if they have questions or do not understand the reading.
Feedback is important in seeing whether student are having positive experiences with NearPod and the reading assigned to them. Giving student to opportunity to share their thoughts and fill out a rubric for the teacher at the end of the assignment will allow the instructor to improve future projects. I think a test run of this project may also be beneficial to make sure that there are no mistakes and that student feedback and other feedback from parents or other instructors can be heard also.
